A Good Idea would be make some of the mushrooms usefull! I think of one that makes you get spychadelic View something that gives you enhanced view at night or in Caves by illuminating the room it would make you a little dizzy but you would have heightened view senses.

Get real. Try crouching and using stealth. If you alert SpiderVag, try running away and / or kill it.

ya great idea, try seeing without any light to find supplys or if you do use your lighter or flishlight try not alerting them with it,
I can tell you right now it won't work and besids there creatures kinda remind me of the enemys in outlast with there damage output
(am talking about the pig man woth chains and the bucher woth the buzz saw that eats people) and that game did night vision and it was still scary, it was the terror of "oh my god i need to say hidden from that guy or he will kill me instantly) but you could see and you had a limited amount of battry use i say have a way to see at night with ether a tonic that you can craft or night vision goggles or something in that regaurd but make it a "limted time frame" item and i would go for the tonic more as the goggles are more techy and don't fit will in the game

How about throwing the flares in the cave ? That works great with me.

LMAO! Won't work huh? OK, if you say so...coming from a person with 12.6 hours in game. First of all, SpiderVag and Armsy are only in certain areas within the caves and you should have supplies before you even run into them. If you don't, you're not prepared. In the case of the SpiderVag at the Cave 3 entrance, there are no supplies there anyway. Try lighting a flare or better yet, a Molotov to see and simply run past her. Easy. And Molotov's never go out.

And how would you plan to craft night vision googles anyhow? Could YOU or any "normal" person make them with no prior knowledge as to how they're made and minimal tools / supplies on the island? And what magic tonic gives human's the ability to see at night? This is supposed to be somewhat realistic, not Fantasyland.

I'm not sure that works ATM, along with Molotoving her. Molotov's will light her on fire, but she won't die. It's a bug that showed up a couple of updates ago.

There are numerous terrible suggestions within these discussions. From reading a bunch of threads it seems like most of the playerbase is comprised of children who have zero taste and just want what they want because they want it, thinking it would be "cool" or because the game is too "hard".

Agreeing with Fluffy Bunny, use your head...how would crafting nightvision goggles or consuming these fantasy shrooms/tonic be realistic? It wouldn't.

The tools provided are sufficient enough to survive, granted some things could be tweaked a bit more. What would be more helpful is having the ability to place campfires down in caves so you can fight around them (I wasn't able to do this for some reason). The game is already easy, don't dumb it down for noobs.

Actually the edible vision enhancement could be realistic, it wouldn't let you see like night vision goggles but something that would cause your pupil to dilate would technically increase your ability to see in low light settings.

Uh, no it's not. While what you said is "somewhat" true, nocturnal animals have a physically different design to their eyes, as well as "circuited" differently than humans.
FifthHorsemaN Oct 10, 2014 @ 12:06pm
Sure, you can propose that, and I wouldn't have an issue with it, but to what degree? And in a pitch black cave, it wouldn't make a difference.

Oh I wasn't meaning you would see like a cat or an owl, etc..., just that you could see better than a human normally sees.

And yeah a cave with no light, it would not help at all

Well, I'll give ya that at least it makes more sense than crafting night vision goggles Darth, but the OP was talking about the caves. And if one were to travels at night, not always, but most of the time there's a full moon, so it all seems kinda moot. :D

I wish they required an IQ test before they let people post on these forums...
