so what is the log sled for?

i have yet to build it i was just wondering is it for like going and getting logs on the sled and bringing a lot to ur base instead of one at a time or is there a different function

iits ok, it holds like 5 or 6 logs and it pushes fairly easy. You just walk up to it and it sstarts moving with ya. I had a problam in a bushy area always loosing it and having to look for where it was. It is good if your base is far from lumber, if not just as easy to carry them as 2s.

It's basically a movable log holder. It holds 7 logs and it's pretty useful if you like to be efficent, something which more people might try to be now that there are an increased number of enemies.

Just my thoughts but they may probably add a pull function in future so you could use a rope to pull it along.

Yes I was thinking it should require rope to build, that way you generally will not get it for the first couple of days/nights. Meaning you have to put a little work into your base and gathering materials, to enable you to go exploring to find the rope; but will be rewarded by making it easier to build the rest of your base.
Then as people have suggested you can 'use it' to enable you to pull it along behind you.

Agreed. I put this in the suggestions thread as soon as I used the log sled. I think it should require you to use both hands to pull it so you can't have a weapon out or carry 2 additional logs. I also think they should increase the log capacity from 7 to 8, or instead increase the log holder from 7 to 8 or 9 to encourage continued usage of the regular log holder. You would also have to walk backwards with it, requiring you to look over your shoulders constantly to avoid danger. Right now the log sled is just OP in my opinion, and those things could kind of balance it out.

I agree as well, I would like to think this is something that will be added in. It would make sence to have to pull it and there is ample rope around the island now that it needs to be implemented more. Like using it for noose traps. It says you need just not applied yet. Im not sure the log sled is so OP as it only holds like 6 logs or so. If you can carry 2 on your shoulder surely you can pull 6. Now the benches, those are just one big cluster feck. Now the most annoying thing in game replacing tennis balls.

Yes please, it would just be much more functional if we could pull the sled with a rope instead of pushing it.

The rope IS being added. It was in one of the poll results.

Also, try building three and filling them all up. Surprisingly, it is a little easier to manoeuvre them because of the weight. That's 21 logs brought back to or dropped off near your base (if you have a hill / cliff). :)

well, i thought it was useable in water.... just lost 7 logs when my entire sled decided to leave this dimension and own a yaht somewhere nicer....

It holds 11 logs now. Also if it is empty and you drop a rock on it first it can be filled with a lot of rocks! Or drop a stick first, and carry a lot of sticks.

You place the stick or rock or dead cannibal in your hand and you can then begin to fill the sled with that item. Only one item type per sled load. All logs, stick,rocks, or cannibals - not a mixture of different stuff. Build more sleds to hold different items if needed.

You do know that you can hold 'CTRL' and press 'E' to place additional blueprints of the same item ( like a sled ) without going back to the book? ( saw that on a you tube video )
