I have never seen the boat in my game, but I believe that what some people are calling a yacht is, in point of fact, that tiny little sailboat. I don't think there is an actual yacht in the game.

Not what what "tiny" or "very small" means to you guys, but the commonly referred to "yacht / sailboat" is normally located around the north beach(es) - east or west of the peninula. It's been glitchy though and doesn't always show up. And even if it does, it can disappear after saving / reloading - as in the case of the game I'm currently playing.

I think that whether you can see the yacht or not depends on your graphics setting. I have crappy graphics for this game and have never seen the yacht but I do get a slight outline that there is something there if I per chance look twards that area at certain angles.:headcrab:

I live very close to several marinas, the Harbour in my home town, Hayle, the Harbour at St Ives, and the massive marina in Penzance, yachts come in all sizes, you must think the large several decks motor cruisers type yacht of the Elite, rich and famous is the one and only yacht, I'd be happy to take photo's of many yachts from Penzance marina, both afloat and on land if it will help you

Dude.....dont go to the end of the world to defend this please.....When you think of yacht you think big luxurious ship, well at least thats what the common human thinks of when you hear it. Am I right?

The difference between a boat and a yacht might be ice cream. If you can keep ice cream on a boat, then it's a yacht. :summerskull:

Mmmm ice cream.

The last time I even bothered to swim out to that crappy boat I just clipped through it like it wasn't even there and couldn't jump on board, does that happen often?
Le Deflagosseur Sep 6, 2014 @ 5:22pm
Happened to me a lot before .06, didnt try after .06

Sorry "Akulus" common humans like me know what yachts are, regardless of size, you asked a decent question and you got misleading info, here in England small sailboats are not much bigger than dinghies and they have a small sail, often used on lakes, rivers and close offshore use, not ocean going use, that is not what is in the game

not me going to the ends of the earth defending anything, I am 60 years old and educated, and as common as you get by the way, "big luxurious ship" is a liner,

Sailing yachts http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yacht

Main article: Sailing yacht
A small sailing yacht
Sailing yachts can range in overall length (Length Over All—LOA) from about 6 metres (20 ft) to well over 30 metres (98 ft), where the distinction between a yacht and a ship becomes blurred. Most privately owned yachts fall in the range of about 7 metres (23 ft)-14 metres (46 ft); the cost of building and keeping a yacht rises quickly as length increases. In the United States, sailors tend to refer to (smaller yachts) as sailboats, only in America, while referring to the general sport of sailing as yachting. Within the limited context of sailboat racing, a yacht is any sailing vessel taking part in a race, regardless of size.
Modern yachts have efficient sail-plans, most notably the Bermuda rig, that allow them to sail close to the wind. This capability is the result of a sail-plan and hull design.

Weekender yachts
Weekender yachts are slightly larger, at under 9.5 metres (31 ft) in length. They may have twin keels or lifting keels such as in trailer sailers. This allows them to operate in shallow waters, and if needed "dry out"—become beached as the tide falls. This is important in the UK waters where many moorings are in tidal creeks. The hull shape (or twin-keel layout) allows the boat to sit upright when there is no water. Such boats are designed to undertake short journeys, rarely lasting more than 2 or 3 days. In coastal areas, long trips may be undertaken in a series of short hops. Weekenders usually have only a simple cabin, often consisting of a single "saloon" with bedspace for two to four people. Clever use of ergonomics allows space in the saloon for a galley (kitchen), seating, and navigation equipment. There is limited space for stores of water and food. Most are single-masted "Bermuda sloops", with a single foresail of the jib or genoa type and a single mainsail. Some are gaff rigged. The smallest of this type, generally called pocket yachts or pocket cruisers, and trailer sailers can be transported on special trailers.

the list goes on plus pictures, so no, when people think yacht they do not think big they think small sailing yachts up to cruising yachts and onto racing yachts, there is no argument here, Just putting other posters right about wether the yacht in game is indeed a yacht,
the evidence speaks for itself, the yacht in the game is a Yacht not a Liner or twin or tripled deck cruiser luxury yacht, normal educated people know how to determine what a yacht is
Good luck in the game mate, and I hope you find the yacht soon, careful of the sharks
