How to get clean water?

So far i've not been able to get clean water at all. No choice but making a waterskin and drinking pond water. at least the health penalty isn't that high. But i'm gonna run out of pills eventually at this rate.

I know there's a pot that can be used to boil the water to make it safe to drink, but I haven't been able to find it as of late. Or it's bugged. I found a campsite with pots and pans and such. But none of them are interactable.

u usually have to go deep in the middle of the island to find those pots, but you should use the turtel shell in ur base 1st

when you come across a camp fire, if there's a pot on the fire, you can pick it up, fill at any water source, build your own fire, place pot of water on fire and it will boil, you can now drink from the pot, or fill your water skin to take fresh clean water with you

2 solution : Cook the water....use a pot, take water, cook it ! Or... : 1 turtle "carapace" and sticks, waiting for the rain =p

Pots are at almost all campsites and even in the villages. Turtle shell water catches is ur best bet. Also, U can make meds with plants. they work just as good and very easy to make.

yep i just drink pond water at the moment. it doesnt seem to hurt enough to bother boiling water. i drink the soda too. sucks you got no turtles cause the rain collector next to a drying rack next to your camp makes for pretty simple daily routine.

How do you mean, no beach?

Edit: you can also find turtles in the forest, but they're called tortoises or something like that.
They're a little bit harder to kill: usually 3 hits, but after each hit they crawl away in their shell, and you have to wait until they come out again to deliver the next hit. Can take some time...
But worth it: the water collector is the best way to get clean water each day.

Even if you do not have beach The Forest have to kind of turtle ( ocean one: flat, earth one, big ball)

Okay, nvmd, I did finally find a stretch of beach on the island. No turtles, but I did find a campsite with both the pot AND the rebreather! WOOO!

There is not terrain generation btw. We're all playing the same map. Btw if you're hydrated and not hungry you regen health slowly so no need to take meds unless very low. I setup shells next to my drying rack but usually just drink water whenever I see it anyway.
