Animal traps?

Do these still work for everyone else? I've put down 5 in different locations where I've seen animals, but I catch nothing. Am I just unlucky or is this a new bug?

Same here.
I've set up 4 on different places, where I've definitely seen rabbits and raccoons hopping around but since at least 4-5 day's - nothing.

One time one trap was down and I thought it catched something but...nope. Nothing.

Since then nothing happend whatsoever.

It's getting really annoying...I want some pet rabbits. :(

What I gathered so far from my observations is that the traps only work, when you are near them. So set up a trap and then wait in a bush or behind a tree somewhere close to it and wait. Works most of the time for me!

You have to hang around the traps long enough for the game to populate your local area with rabbits. Otherwise you'll just catch rocks and sticks.

Some of them are near me, one being right outside my cabin.

You have to be around your traps ofthen as they prey may escape from the trap. I know sounds a bit messed up, but hey its alpha, and who would have guessed bunnys wont jump out of their pen/cage

Its random, I have a place that I catch so much food I catch and release as I have 2 full dryracks. and on other side of island I have 4 trasps and yet to catch a single thing.
