Keep in mind that when a new update comes out most of the time you loose your saved game. You should know that before you buy the game and invest a lot of time building a massive fort only to loose it and have to start over.
Also, you cant have multiple save games, there is only one slot for a saved game. You can however have multiple locations where you can save your game.
I agree. I always start a new game after an update. I usually play a few hours and then stop to wait for the next update. Played a little more than usual after the last update because they opened up the other half of the island.
