How's character creation??

Character customization is a huge plus for me when it comes to video games. The more I can customize, the more I tend to enjoy the game. Just a few questions regarding this:

1. Can you customize a character, or do you get a default one like other games do??

2. Can you create a female character??

3. Do you find outfits/armors as the game progresses, which changes how your character looks??

No Character model customization Currently, though there are varying Player models in Multiplayer.

A female player model is planned!

You can equip deer or lizard skin as clothing or armour, and you can also make a stealth suit out of leaves and lizard skin

As of yet, there is no character customization, however, there are several character models you may spawn with, however this is random.

Not sure character customization is all that relevant in a game like this. Its all about surviving and really the last thing on my mind is what I'm wearing or how I look. I'm far more concerned with building shelter, eating, drinking water, securing a steady food supply and staying away from the crazy loons.

Just because you're not concerned with it, doesn't mean others aren't. I believe character customization is very relevant in a game like this. When you put effort into creating/naming a character, you have a little more emotion invested in it. Because of that, it makes you want to make them survive even more.

At least for me, which is why I asked. I do tend to steer clear of games that don't allow customization.

no customization, no female but you can find outfits in special suitcases. (I have found 5 of them currently)

So it's really awkward in multiplayer that all of us are the same latino man in the same plaid shirt. It is quite confusing! One of the outfits you can swap into is a female flight attendant's outfit, so it's weird you cannot make a female player.
