Single player to Multi player

So ill just make this quick, I have spent hours on ours building my forts and such in my single player and a friend saw and wanted to jump into my single player world with me. So my question is this: can you make your single player world multiplayer with some sort of drop-in-drop-out feature or is that not a thing?

no, you have to start a new - multi player - game.

I'm fairly sure you can load your single player save when starting a co-op/multiplayer room, i did that a few times some updates ago, i'm not sure if it still works though.

Its perfectly possible.

Your save games are located in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\SKS\The Forest
Just swap it from the singleplayer folder to the multiplayer folder and host a coop game, it works just fine.

I haven't had a chance to check but will soon. So i can basically just copy my game file over to multiplayer and then have two different versions? One for Sp and one for MP?
If so that's awesome.

So were they able to connect with you? I saw another guy having problems (I was going to try this next week).

I've recently tried this and copied my SP save to MP folder, was able to load up the game but no one could connect to it. However I did notice in my inventory I don't have the diner tray to share items if someone could connect. I'm assuming something more needs to be edited to allow other to connect and enable the dinner tray which you only get in an actual MP game. Any further knowledge or updates on this or has anyone got it to work so other players can connect?
