How to get Rabbit Fur?!

Everytime I kill a rabbit it only gives me rabbit meat. How do you get the rabbit fur from a rabbit?

Thanks. What the problem was is I was taking rabbits from my trap and skinning them, which should give you skin and meat, but ut does not. I found you need to chase them around to kill one wild, then you can skin him and pick up the meat like a lizard or deer. Small glitch I think.

Had the same problem figuring that out too. Taking them from the trap or holding pin should give you the skin too. Thats lame. Should be fixed.

Just in case there are other people looking for this here;

When a rabbit gets caught in your trap, you have to use a weapon to kill it while it is still in the trap. This will enable the option for you to skin it before you take the meat. (As if you'd been chasing it around)

Holding a rabbit and Left-Clicking will directly yield meat for you, but no skin. Deal with it.

Same when you are breeding rabbits in the cages - Picking one up and left clicking will yield meat, but you cannot gain any fur from these*.

*However, if you place 5 animal traps in a circle, (all facing the middle and close togheter) you can pick a rabbit up and jump into the middle of these traps. Release the bunny with G and it will run into one of your traps guaranteed. (Unless you placed them wrong).
By doing this, you can now kill it with a weapon and skin it just as a normal trap.

You can easily build a tiny enclosure out of stone walls, drop them inside and kill them for the skin.

As Of .64 you can now hold a rabbit and left click to drop a dead rabbit. This dead rabbit will now yield BOTH skin and meat! The devs do hear our suggestions!

Trap em -> cage em -> let em mutiply == tons of fur and meat.
