I'm new to this game .I killed a couple of natives and chopped them up.Can you eat them?Do they taste ok? Let me know thanks!

He can be whatever he wants to be. Take it from the movie Gardens of Stone in which a character said, "some days the bear eats you. Some days you eat the bear." Meaning, it's better to be on top and eat the bear before it eats you.

Me, the sons o' b*tches that come after me gets what's comin' to 'em. I kill and eat the f*ckers, show 'em who's boss, then make a huge effigy because I damn can, and it pleases me greatly.

And to answer the OP: Yes, you can eat them. Just build a fire or a drying rack and you can eat cannibal limbs. Can't tell if there is a negative aspect to eating cannibals but cannibal flesh heals hunger quite a bit.

However...I wonder if, by eating a cannibal, might spell dire consequences further down the game. Maybe eating mutants you become a mutated, "devolved" cannibal yourself, and the game ends with you walking into a new airplane wreck to take the young boy.

While on the topic of story/motive, have you noticed the dead guys with croses and bibles sparkle (the dead near the iron doors)? Take a look again if you haven't noticed. THEY SPARKLE now lol

I eat the cannibals all the time :D they're about ALL I eat... There's just something really satisfying about chopping up and eating the people that spend every day wanting to chop up and eat you first. So far there's no negative effects, but like some of the other posters, I've been wondering if there will be later. It's pretty funny when I think about the storyline and I'm like "Oh god. They took my son and are keeping him. What if they turn him into a CANNIBAL?" and then I'm like "Oh... wait... I'm a cannibal too <.<"

When you're covered in blood, it gives you the "wash off to avoid infection" message but currently there's no consequences for not doing that either. Obviously they mean to probably implement some ways to get sick later on. That makes me wonder if eventually eating the cannibals will make us a bit sick. Who knows! But for now, it's fine.

I often eat cannibal limbs, too. I'm somewhere at day 90-100 right now and kill at least 5 of them every day, and why throw away their meat? I have more than enough effigees already, so I just put the body parts onto the drying rack. It's more of a practical, than a moral decision. Theoretically I don't even have to leave my base - the food comes walking right to me.

Right now there's no negative effect to it at all. It makes no sense to get sick of it, anyway, because, from a scientifical point of view, human flesh is just as healthy as the meat of any other animal. But I noticed that cannibal limbs don't restore as much energy, as animal meat (I think, even fresh ones. But I'm not entirely sure).

Heck, I doubt if illness is any cause to worry. Seems like every other piece of untouched luggage carries meds which should stave off illnesses, and even then (unless there's a tweak) unopened luggage seems to respawn stuff in them, more candy bars and meds than I know what to do with. I get such a full stock in my inventory, I got more drugs than Colombia.

Cannibals are one of my group's main source of food. So many cannibals come to attack, kill them all, much food.

Almost pointless to hunt for anything else, but we still keep the meat racks full of fish and stuff, just in case. Honestly, there's an excessive amount of cannibal meat, so we also make tons of effigies.

Cannibals make a good food source and I will continue to use them until the game punishes me for doing so.

Nothing is better than scaring the cannibals off by hanging the arms and legs and heads of their previous patrols showing them that I can play the same game they are.

So I ask you. Who fears who here? Are we fearing the cannibals or do they fear us?

Yesterday I beat 4 cannibals with a stick, and ate them in front of the others, other 3 watched it for some time and just ran away. I think I showed them who's the boss :D
