Turtle bug?

If you collect a shell and meat from a turtle then try collect from another one you can't pickup shell and there is no meat dropped. Is this intentional or a bug?

Intentional. You can only carry one shell at a time.

But what about meat, seems silly that you can't harvest meat even if you can't pick up the shell:(

I get meat from turtle but only if I'm not carrying a turtle shell, otherwise the second shell just goes of spinning and i'm left with nothing.

That sounds weird. Can't imagine that this is intentional.

I am carrying a shell all the time, maybe because of this I don't get any meat at all?

That pretty much explains it, you should get two pieces of meat from one turtle. You need to make water collecter to use up the shell, this then frees up you inventory so you can go get another. It just seems silly that you can't just harvest meat though. I've posted on the bugs forum so hopefully it will get looked into, hopefully.

you should get 1 shell and two pieces of meat. You can use the shell for a water collecter or a shield

Anyway, until a fix, you can open the inventory, take the shell and drop it to the ground. Take your new shell and your meat and you're done.

There are two types of turtles: the sea turtles drop a shell and generic meat, the land tortoises only drop a shell, no meat.

It seems like i'm having the same problem: can't collect any turtle shell from the turtles. It's collecting only a 2 pieces of meat and not the shell. No shell is appearing in my inventory and notification panel.
There is still "Collect turtle shell 0/1" in my notifications.

So, is this a dead game? Why this bug is reproducing for a year already?

Are you sure it was a turtle and not a tortoise? You only get a shell from turtles.
