Fishing

I have not found a SINGLE fish the whole time I've been playing this game. Found the spear alright, but never have I found any fish. Which is really frustrating because I assumed I'd have an easy access to food instead of having to run through the forest and search for lizards or bunnies, which are very hard to find for some reason besides around the plane. And even when I do find those, they run too fast usually.

Anyone else have the problem of never finding any fish? Is there something I'm not doing right? Do they only show up in certain ponds?

dude, go to the ocean. In the plane you first spawn in, go to the right to the ocean and look in the water for any movement. There will be fishes there. If you go to the map on the wiki, there will be areas marked with a fish symbol. Areas with the fish symbol means that there will be fishes there. Empty ponds don't have fishes while normal ponds will. Go to see the map on the wiki and you'l find them. Easiest way will be to go to the ocean on the right.

Black, the plane doesn't always crash in the same spot. If you go to the beach and just follow it around the edge of the island you'll find fish all over the place. The easiest landmark to give you is the crashed sailboat, there's fish between that and the shore.

Quite a few ponds offer a few fish as well, most of the ponds in the middle and south of the forrest contain fish.

The best place for fish is in the ocean behind the big anchor. The water is shallow and fish are easy to spear, well almost lol

Yup, this is right around the corner from the sailboat, both good spots.

On the shore to the right of the yacht there is usually a school swimming around as well, and some more down that same beach a bit further.

Also many of the 'fish ponds' in the game will be empty when you stumble onto them, but after a few minutes some fish spawn in. The pond I build my base around origionally didn't have fish in it, but now there is randomly 3-5 of the suckers swimming around at any given moment.

Well I'm on windows 8 so I have no idea how to get to my game files to do the mods. :/

You know the pond nearest the headland between the boat and the big anchor? No fish in that one, right???

I just saw a fish in there. Honest. I ran over to peer at it, and watched as it swam into the side of the pond (underground). After seeing that I looked at some other ponds, including one that seems to have fish erratically - and spotted fish swimming through the side of the pond into the ground nearby.

I think some or all of the no-fish ponds are supposed to have fish - but they are circling a coordinate that's supposed to be in the center of the pond and is placed wrong.
