In all likelihood the Devs will create a feeling different to my mod. they have their own vision for the game that I am clueless on! Plus I do changes for my own personal reasons and not really to "fix" anything
Is this slowing your machine down? Lowering Draw Distance will lower the Grass distance as well
Andrew pointed me to regedit to edit the configs from there but i dont know what is the max values and noticed some dont have values so i got confused.
Just an idea for the extreme users.
Cheers mate
IMHO, email the devs and ask them the put your mod in the final release, or at least tweak it to their likings. Not only does it save them time, but it balances things out and makes the game more playable for everyone else. Worst comes to worst, they say no and this ends up being something like DSFix.
Though, something I need to add is that the way that cannibals are handling things atm might be just a test run; just essentially to make sure that the cannibals even /work/. I wouldn't be at all shocked if the next 3 updates completely trash this mod. I'd be sad, but not shocked.
tl;dr Great idea, email the devs, don't surprised if this gets trashed next update.
Keep up the great work.
At least Templar had the idea to cooperate with Andrew to combine their mods into a big mod, so you can have both after the next Forest patch.
Remember, Im not actually trying to make the game. All I have is the game and a lot of spare time!
Also, I haven't really "fixed" anything just tweaked. Tweaking like this, generally comes at the end of the development when all the aspects are in the game.
The Devs have an update timeline that they are following. The game has literally updated more than 3 times since its release. Not saying they were the best updates but they did push some important fixes. Also note that Templar is not adding additional content or further expanding upon the game. he is altering the coding thats already there.
Put this mod in the final release? the final release could be a year or more away. By that time who knows how drastically the game will be. They could have added balances similar to what is found in this mod.
the devs have addressed the bugs and have even talked about how the new patch will have a lot of fixes and additional content. In 2 days time they will be pushing a new version that will solve a lot of problems and add new content. And you're seriously complaining they are taking too long? It's just a 2 day difference and they will be adding a lot more than this mod.
with that said I am happy people like Templar and the bird mod person exist. They will always be welcome to mod the game to their taste. The devs have even welcomed modding if I'm not mistaken.
How is this an insult?
