felling trees
be able to control which way the tree falls by the direction you cut it since you swing with your right the tree should fall right.

Also to stop logs from flying into the air have the whole tree fall then the player have to break it into smaller logs.

you could also make a crafting item for pulling the tree so you can break it up near your base and you wont have to cut down all the forest directly next to you.

I thought about that but the time it would take to plant and grow a tree doesn't really fit in with the games story. 20 years later alright my trees have matured time to go find my son.

This would be very useful. It would also be nice if the physics were adjusted a bit so that the logs will be less bouncy/heavier/have more traction. As it is they go all over the place.

Agreed concerning the bounciness & the retitiveness of logs getting 'lost' due to rolling away

actual where you start to cut and where your last hit hits affects which way it goes

I have now repeatedly checked the following way to determine the fall direction of trees: face in the direction you want the tree to fall, start felling the tree, then once you hear the sound of the tree falling, jump against the tree towards the desired fall direction (space bar). It works every time for me.
