Why is my FPS so low?(Possible Fix!!!)

Select perfered graphics proccessor for this program", look for "2. Specity the settings for this program, and find 'Power management mode' and change it to 'Perfer maximum performance', that should help!

Also, check out how Bloom fixed his game, I did the same things and it worked, but he beat me to the forums lol xD

So the game went from 10/15 fps on low setting to stable 30/35fps on the default high setting.


On Nvidia control panel - Manage 3d Settings - Program Settings (add the program as in the original solution for laptops)

First I had changed the "Power management mode" to "prefer maximum performance",

then, I changed "multi-display/mixed gpu acceleration" to "single display performance mode"
This first two changes had little to no impact whatsoever. I´m sharing them because I don´t know if they work in conjunction with the final change.

But what changed everything was this last one.
On "CUDA GPUs" I unchecks the "use global settings" to "use these GPUs". Apparently it´s exactly the same thing but made all the difference. Please give feedback.

Combine that with the Power mode on Perfer max performance and you should be fine!

FPS really low. I get like 20, EVEN on the lowest settings, sometimes lower, after extended play.
My PC ain't the problem. I run lots of other games on much higher settings. Anybuddy know whats up? Maybe the game just needs more optimization. I understand its alpha, and there may be no clear fix ATM, but heres hopin.

It´s an optimization problem. Be happy to run it at 20fps, I usually go around 10.

Nop, did nothing for me. My menu isn´t the same. It lacks the second tab "Preferred graphics processor". So I guess I must wait for developers to fix this.

No, the 1400Mhz. I assume that's your usual clock speed, no?

It´s actually more 1350MHz +-. Still close to 1GHz that the game ignores. No wonder it drags on my system even on the lowest settings.

Strange, most modern cards adjust the clock speeds depending on demand of the game. With The Forest my graphics card (GTX 770 Windforce) uses a constant 99% usage!

I think the screen that was shown might have been laptop specific. I am playing around with some random settings to get some additional performance, I will post back here if any noticable differences can be seen.
