pausing the game?

how do you pause the game? to stop things from attacking you or if you have to go away for a lil bit?

It is a bug as of right now that will be fixed in the future, so being in the menu really pauses the game.

Currently the game cannot be paused, will have to find a safe place.

i wonered. because inventory didnt pause (found that out by being scared ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, then dying while trying to grab my molotov) and when i press the escape key i can still hear them screaming and making their callls. so i didnt know if that paused it or not..

other then that the only problem i have with the game is the crashing on startup. it doesnt crash if i hit start game. but if i hit "load." it will crash.

some of these casuals have an outside life to take care of so they occasionally need to pause.
Like im not saving and exiting hte game just to go pee or do a line of cocain.

i like that it stays realtime! adding pause for going into the inventory would be a shame i think! for the menu? dunno, i kinda like, that even then the game goes on right now. what i dont like is, that left mouse key pushing also effects the game right now, while changing settings in the mainmenus (you hear the player strike his weapon in the back)... that should be fixed.

but please no pause. ;D

it needs a pause in casual.
the hardcore setting should go without the pause.
by what i heard they are going to eventually be putting in difficulty settings.

Original post was satire. The inventory menu should retain real time, it just makes sense and adds a thrill. But menu pausing should pause time, as this does not effect the game. Although I could easily live with the menu not pausing time, and preventing me from regaining mental willpower to strive through those dark, creepy caves.

The problems is that you can't even leave for a second to get a icy drink or visit the toilet. You need to stay in the game or otherwise get punched to death.

Im not positive but they might have included a fix for it in the hotfix that pauses the cannibals but everything else goes on like its not paused. I havent tested it myself but there have still been complaints that its not working either way.

This may be a bug that may or may not be fixed in the future updates, patches, hotfixes, etc. All we can do is wait and see if it will be fixed it the future. For now on just save and quit, it's better than being killed by a monster in the game.
