Thanks
My Arurora R4 model absolutely hammers everything I put on it. Absolutely no issues outside of the bugs and glitches. Ever since the last update I get 70-80 fps while running through the thickest parts of the forest. Spikes over 100 when holding still. Max settings.
Can also record with full uncompressed .AVI with forced lossless RBG mode and still get a solid 60 fps.
You said you have an Alienware M14, in another post you tell us about a lot of specs that this build of Alienware doesn't have.
If you give me the option between "Alienware will sell me a laptop on a very high loss for them" or "look at me, I'm lying on the internet" I and most people here will go for the second one.
The m16 has at best a i7-4710MQ CPU and GTX 765M GPU, 16 gb of ddr3 and a triple 256GB ssd. The m16 case does not have the space for a second drive unless you forego the optical drive. And yes, for 2k I can do better then that in desktop form.
(Edit, messed up the quote and had a typo)
Aliens own Alienware
The alienware have some problems with their throttling and power usage for certain games. I have an AMD. I used throttlestop.exe to disengage the throttling. Then I use radeon pro and turn texture and mipmap quality to performance; I also dial LOD back a smidge. Then in the game settings I run low at 1280 and disable SSAO and blur. Since the devs first pass at optimization, my result is a game that runs smooth and pretty. My computer's gpu 7970 more than makes up for the setting changes.
Strangely my performance and fixes for this game resemble planetside the most; that game sure is an unoptimized performance pig but I'm very competitive there. If you play that game, try making the same changes here.
READ look back i have an AURORA R4 DESKTOP, i never once said that i had a laptop sorry buddy you cant even read let alone comprehend what i said.
Well, that's my bad, I thought that you where the OP. Must be getting late, let my recalculate and see if you're still wrong though.
You don't seem to get it, i don't care if you or anyone else believes me that is what i paid for my rig, if you dont think so OK it doesnt make a bit of difference to me.
Its a pointless thread.
The OP hasnt even given a reply to his own thread.
Just entertainment atm
Ding ding ding. Thank you.
I love it how this entire thread has devolved into a stupid Laptop vs. PC debate instead of helping the OP.
Ya know if you really don't care.. Why are you still here defending your purchase? Just let it go...
Nah man, this is now a alienware pc vs homebuild pc thread.
Misfortune-Teller, when you say 2000, are we talking euros or dollars? Because if you paid 2000 and it was 2500 euros I can still do better than that build.
That is what always happens whenever someone admits they own an Alienware they get hated on and harrassed for no good reason just for making a purchase. Alienware is no different than any other pre-built company out there period end of story, and half of the time you can get really good deals and their prices beat out other pre-built companies minus ibuypower and cyberpower because they undercut everyone.
USD.
I'm not asking you to scan your recipes. Just give me a link where it's sold because I'm genuinely curious. I just can't believe that Dell would sell at a such a big loss.
