Save games - where are they stored?

Installed the last patch today and when testing the save games i noticed i still have inventory bug. However i also noticed the time of day was incorrect as well. Is it possible that the game is looking at an old save and if so where can i find the saves to delete them?

I have uninstalled local content from steam and re-installed game just in case, but would like to know about the location of the save games so i can check all previous data is deleted.

I can confirm moving this file will reset your saves:

%USERPROFILE%/AppData\LocalLow\SKS\TheForest\PlayerPrefsFile___RESUME__.dat

on Windows 7, at least.

Sorry for bumping this but I found the save file from another computer I backed up on. that being said that registry entry isn't there. Any ideas? I have the DAT file but not the registry. The dat file moved over will cause the game to load but just a still frame and it's not functional.

Umm.. Can confirm that this is no longer true. There were three file folders in that location for me and my saves were still in-game after deleting all three.

Can't find information about this anywhere else, maybe someone here knows where the new location is?

It's because you have Steam cloud enabled, try disabling it then delete the saves again.

Try turning off the cloud like he said and then deleting your saves.

Is there a way to have the game save the multiplayer files in another location OTHER than the Appdata folder on my C drive? Preferrably the drive location where I told the game to Install in the first place! What a concept!
