Maybe, pc power supply unit or some dust in the heat sink of cpu or gpu.

You Most likely have faulty power supply like he said ^^^ But try updating your graphics card. Hard Drive. Basically Update everything on your PC. Reinstall Steam and The Forest. Try again? If not Take it to you're local computer shop. Like bestbuy or a something like that,

thanks man, I´m going to check the cables and spray a bit the inside of pc, but I don´t give it a big chance....my power supply unit is 600W, so it should be strong enough, or?

Not sure what your complete spec's are but It might not be. I run a very old system.. INTEL DDR2 Duel Core 3.16GHz (2 CPU) OverClocked ~3.4GHz. 8GB of ram. Windows 8.1 64bit.
Geforce GTS 250 4GB Overclocked. And I run a 650 Mega Watt power supply. So You might be lacking the power. Or very possible that some of your parts could be incompatible with your motherboard.

You can check your "cooler" too, that can be parts which are overheating that cause a PC Reboot. There are free softwares on the internet which you can download and after the unexpected reboot you can look in the log files what happened, GPU - CPU Overheating etc.

When you GPU use lots of resource(and consequently power) the power supply aren't capable to support it then turn off... im not sure but in past it happen to me 4 times... 3 times was the power supply while i play, 1 time was the dust in the heat sinks of gpu and cpu.

If pc Freeze then turn off, was heat problem, if turn off instantly is the power supply.

thx man for the help, but I play CS almost every day for about 2 hours and it just runs normal...but maybe I might be really lacking the power...I dunno

Yeah like Since said, be careful. Sudden shutdowns can be indicitive of a heating problem, and if so, can damage your hardware. Can be costly.

Maybe your gpu or psu is faulty, or psu have little power. Or it can be dust, overheatin. I had the same problem with many games, i have to return the card after some time, acuse i couldnt play any game without it. If it is makin while u r playin other games too, try your gpu- run furmark burn test- if it starts to show gray lines mostly, image start to jump randomly across the screen, or similar, your pc shutdown or restart then probably your gpu is faulty.(better to try on another pc too) GOOD LUCK!! I think 600w is enough, i have only 450w psu unit and everthin is ok.

I highly doubt that your PSU has the output of a nuclear reactor.

lol.

OP check to see if your game is not running with onboard graphics causing that chip to overheat.

Check and monitor your GPU temps. I'm getting over 60 celsius temps with 40-50% GPU usage
Having single GTX680.
Sly Jun 2, 2014 @ 1:31pm
600w should be fine for a GTX 760
the PSU is probably faulty, it would be worth opening a program like Hardware Monitor and monitor your temps while playing the game up till it shuts off your computer.

This game seems to get alot of peoples gpu's hot as hell, perhaps its overheating and shutting down your computer.
