How do i get sticks?

Cutting trees i know that part but it seems like i need 5 logs and 20 sticks and each tree i cut down i get 5 logs and 1 stick. Am i somehow able to cut logs into sticks? thx

Hit thin tall plants, + You can find sticks around on the ground

small trees and the ones that look like saplings give you sticks

you will see small stick trees...walk up and smash it and it should drop 2-4 sticks....also the small thin trees drop around 7 sticks

i know this is old, but in his defense there really does seem to be a ridiculous shortage of sticks for a place like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ forest lol

Well there's sticks and there's sticks. They need to be sticks that are useful for making things so the amount is fine - we have enough sticks now you could shake a stick..... at them, ahem.

Depends on the area. Southern forests appear to be far more dense with a similar increase in sticks on the forest floor. Northern forests are far more sparse with less underbrush, and less sticks.

Also, there is only 1 type of bush in the north that drops sticks (the tall thin one with brances only near the top) and many types in the south. Southern bushes also drop different numbers of sticks depending on type, from 1 to 4. North bushes only ever drop 2. So you'll end up starved for sticks up north if you need a lot, but have all you need down south.

Also remember that forest floor sticks seem linked to nearby trees, and cutting them down prevents the sticks from respawning. Bushes are linked to the play session, and only respawn when the session is closed and re-launched or you have "regrowmode" enabled.

you cut the smaller trunks down or cut the little ones near trees or go into caves i knew this because a knew logic :P

wow, way to go for everyone to reply to a necroed thread from may 30 2014. At that time there was an issue with gathering sticks, but the game was 2 weeks old at the time i think.
