What is the new location for scuba gear?

I checked some old places but I never found it.
- Tent near ocean is empty.
- In the big villages in a tent / on a rock is empty.
- At dead body in front of the first metal door in cave is empty too.

It's inside the main cannibal village cave behind some wooden boards that you knock down with the axe. ouo It'll be on the right side I think. Way past the dead guy with the compass.

I think I found it. I click on the E icon and it disappears from the crispycritter. But it doesn't reappear in my inventory. I've done this 4 times now...

The scuba gear will get put into the waaaay upper left of your inventory. If you already have it, then when you go to pick it up, it will only give you an air canister.

I have been to this cave and behind the boarded up area. No rebreather for me here either. Tried the geese lake cave and no luck either. Maybe it is bugged or moved. Maybe I will start a new game after the update and see if I have better luck.

Another spot is the old place in front of the big metal door, where u put three things to open it. There is a scuba too!

No, I found the cave random again without diving. There was a rope from another cave and I fall into this cave. So there is a passage from cave A to cave B.

After the wooden door go forward, looking carefully to the right for another ropehole to go down. Hard to find unless you look closely for wider spots in the tunnel.

Which village is the main village, the one in the northwest or the one in the southeast? I have a base in the southeast village and I'm surprised I haven't found the scuba gear.

That's the main village, however you're looking into an old topic, things may have moved since then. Map places the rebreather now in/near cave 5 (786 - 851).
