Creepy Screams and Strange Noises

I was just cutting down the trees around my shack and i heard a scream in the distance that totaly creeped my out...It didn't sounded like the one that cannibals do :D Any suggestions?

The high tone scream we hear in a distance is a deer bellowing / squalling

Bastards can be sneaky though!! One snuck up behind me without making a single noise, I turned around and it was 5 feet away from me and made me jump out of my skin!!

Their new sounds are a lot more effective too, though. Love the effort the devs are putting in, this is the kind of stuff people ignore when they complain about co op taking away attention from the main game... The devs are improving the overall experience every time they update!

Yeah, turning and being face to face with a white painted cross covered cannibal scares the crap out of me; every time it happens and particularly at night. Overall I'm starting to get a feeling for several of their audio sounds; from 'mad as hell' to 'go get help' to sad when their special cannibal dies... And the sounds they make as they try to rescue someone is very effective.

Right now i'm in my house boat on northern banks of the lake in the middle of the map, using my bow from its rook i managed to massacre at least 15 cannables, some Skinheads and some white crosses. Now a small army is patrolling the bank, they keep letting off single, repetitive screams, does this mean they're calling for backup??? am I best just getting out of there?

I dont think it is a deer bellowing in the distance. The sound has been there for a long time. It is most prolific in the northwest and I am of the opinion that it will end up being the lady from the boat magazine. I dont think we have the ending yet. I think the story will end up all being her idea. It sounds like a drunken yak or an elk or something.

I have no idea if anyone is still on this discussion, but I have heard something that scared the living sh!t out of me. It sounded like someone saying "Heyyy" in something like a chatroom. PLEASE tell me it is just a scripted noise because I am on day 9-10 and have BOTH veganmode and peaceful modes on. Also, it was daytime turning dusk I believe.

Might have just been an animal, or a glitch. get off vegan and peaceful dood. Play the game like it's meant to be played, a brutal massacre of a native population
