I think this happens each time you get close to a rock, wander around it a little then jump on it. When you feel like your character is lagging, walk off the edge of the rock/cliff and you'll fly!

This happened to me once only, and it was backing out of a pool the natives found me fishing in, I could not get back to ground, but flying(swimming) over the island it was fun watching the cannibals run in circles below me, I led them to a cliff and I headed out to sea and they went off the cliff and got stuck, then I went back over the land and as I reached higher ground the familiar clump of feet was heard I was on the ground, but if I walked to lower ground I flew again, has never happened again.

Yeah same as dawn, I had it happen once as well, TBH it was rather annoying. Even after I made it to land, High ground) everytime I went under this imaginary line I would go back to swimming/flying. Oly thing that fixed for me was relaoding last saved game.

it could be feedback as well..........and you know its getting beyond too late to even worry abotu posting in any proper section. no one enforces it no mods lock or close topics to inform others wof where to post moving topics to the right forum? nope. suggestion topic? 5000+ replies. 4387 are of the "ummm why iz dis gaem broken my pc is from 1996 and my dad playz rpgs on it why do you make breaking game bad for my pc you suck refundz"
no one has kept up with anything.....the suggestions topic should have constant updates to the op to add the most suggested things to keep repeat useless replies to a minimum to HELP the developers go thru it easier.
same for feedback and bug reports. "hunger is bugged it goes down too far...is this intended or broken?" it is as if people read words , then take those words and try to apply them to their posts to make posts look better? idk but this particular forum needs a quick clean up and organizing,

I am not really active on Steam Community, but only on The Forest as it's only discussable here ^^
But yeah, I do realize it too!
