How Do You Plant Blueberries?

I could have sworn that I've seen other people do this, but for some reason I can't figure out how to plant those gosh darn blueberries! Any Ideas?

But I grew a tomato on my back porch, so how come blueberries wont grow in this game???

This worked for me once. Pick one of those orange flowers that have the + icon.
make a garden. cut down a blueberry bush. Take a stick and poke the center of the garden several times.
A blueberry bush may grow or not. It doesn't always work.

I picked up a bunch of aloe vera, and some of this red flower. I built a garden and pressed E wherever I saw an icon in the garden. I came back the next day saw a few more icons but nothing actually growing in my garden so I pressed E on those icons. Repeated this process for a day or two and then miraculously a blueberry bush appeared. Don't ask me how. I exited the game and when I reloaded the game my blueberry bush was gone. :(

In one play thru, whatever I ate or picked up last was planted. Then in another, only aloe was planted regardless. So, don't know.

That's also been my experience. Gardens do no like reload.

If i can grow a mushroom on my bath mat i should be able to grow a blueberry bush in a garden! :p
