How Does Sleeping/Time Progression Work?
Played this game for a while and still not quite sure. It seems if I sleep as soon as it hits night time, the time will skip ahead to sunrise. But if I wait til later or if there are cannibals around, sleeping will wake my player up immediately as the position of the moon is still in same spot. So does the game only skip ahead half a day when the area around me is safe or is it something else?

You only wake up in the middle of the night when there are cannibals nearby (cue creepy piano music).

Other than that, when no cannibals decide to patrol the area you should awake in dawn/dusk. The confusion comes from the brightness, as they both are EXTREMELY dark, sometimes pitch black in the "morning". You can tell if it's morning if you look at the sky and wait a bit until you see some sunlight, or by looking at water and seeing the sun start to rise.

Also if you find yourself awake in the middle of the night and don't see a cannibal, they probably glitched out somewhere, in my case a group of them were frozen in the sky a little off from my base.

That's what I thought. I just wanted to make sure because the game wasn't clear on that.

And you're only about 28 miles from where I live. Funny.

So this is multiplayer? Atleast it's not tagged as one on store page.

Oh, no. I just saw his location on his profile.

At the moment, its overly simple. If a cannibal is within 160meters of you, you "fake" sleep. where no time is passed, and only a small amount of energy is given to you. A full sleep happens otherwise and will always wake up either just after sunset or sunrise, depending on the time of day you sleep.

I don't get it. I have a "meter" that has to be filled (a ciruclar one), if it's not filled - I cannot sleep. This means I have to SIT by the Shelter until the meter is filled (in the middle of the night) and then I can sleep.

Is this meant to be?

I slept one time in a small cabin and no longer even have an icon for sleeping again. Many days have since passed. There is a "save" but no "sleep" option.

How does that affect your gameplay?

Not sure the intent of the question, but it affects gameplay because there is no sleeping option.
