No Sharks?

I just started playing The Forest recently and I heard about there being sharks in the game. I've been playing (on multiplayer) for a few days and have not seen a single shark. I have swam in the ocean all along the coast and have't seen any. I have seen the dead NPCs on the shore though. Were they taken out?

The sharks are still there. Sometimes it takes them a while to spawn. I was able to swim to the yacht for weeks before they started showing up in .29.

On the coach NEAR the crashed Airplane i found lots of dead sharks

I've literally just spent 40 minutes walking the entire map and there are no sharks. Certainly they can't be this rare? I see tons of bodies but no NPCs.

There are sharks. I was killed swimming back from the yacht to the shore. Haven't gotten hit since though.

The yacht and the "holy tree" on the west central coast has a shark spawn out there in pretty deep water. Go swim around out there and press your luck lol. You don't find them they find you.

You won't spot them from shore since they introduced waves in the water. You have to be in the water to see them as often their dorsal fin is barely discernible even close up in the water.

This is how inconspicuous they can be up close in the water.

So I decided to test something out and create a single player game and see if I found any sharks. I immediately found one. I started another new single player game and again, immediately found a shark. But when I play on Co-op there is none. I have been to the same area where I see them all the time in single player and there is never a single shark. Either they mustn't be in Co-op or the host's server is messed up.

That would explain why I've never seen a shark, i solo play on a co-op server.

Funny that is where we all keep saying the sharks are, right outside that yacht cove.

You know what? I was just like you, looking for the shark in the first day near the yatch. I FOUND ONE? I swim near him. HE BIT ME. I WAS DEAD. The red screen show up "You died. You have survived 0 day". That's the first time ever I've seen that screen.
