Is there a way to get the house icon to change locations? I built one of the lean-to shelters for the first night. There is nowhere near enough time in the first day to put up a log cabin. And then I built a cabin. But the icon stays at the lean-to. I don't want to keep that home, as it is not as safe as the walled in one. But the icon still points me there. I realize that there are a million bugs that the devs are working on, but I just wondered if this one had a solution at the moment.

Every shelter you erect, minus the smallest, will yield the presence of a white house icon. So if you make multiple shelters, you will have multiple house icons. As of this writing, there's no way to destroy a structure once it's complete, so you're stuck with the house icon(s).

That is fine. But the cabin I built does not have a house icon on it. Also, I am not given the Z symbol when inside it. Therefore, it won't let me sleep in it. I can only sleep in the first one, the hunter's lean-to.

It it completely built? You can definitely save from the log cabin, and it also has a house Icon.

If it isn't, it isn't showing the E button option to add anything. Also it isn't showing the need for any further logs in the lower left-hand corner of the screen. All it shows there are the logs for the wall I am presently constructing. Maybe a glitch. It is a fairly buggy game yet, being in early alpha. Maybe if I start over...

There was a pre-patch 0.04 bug that would sometimes render unfinished construction projects unfinishable after a sleep save. I think that was what my problem was.
