In single player is there a way to duplicate logs?

PLEASE tell me there's a way to duplicate logs. The Forest is boring as all hell when I have to build denses that take up over 100 logs to complete. PLEASE can someone tell me there's a way I can duplicate logs so I'm not chopping trees all day and night. I just wanna get my base built and protected so I can move on with the actual gameplay.

You dont' have to build bases like that.

In my favorite base, I used literally zero logs....on the other hand i used like 400 stones.

Edit: Edit, there really isn't any gameplay right now. As it currently stands this game is minecraft + COD zombie swarm.

There is literally nothing to do but build a base, and fight off endless swarms of Usain Bolt cannibals

There sure is...depending on your level of tech savvyness. If you are computer literate you can hack log carriers to contribute unlimited logs. To do this you have to edit any log carriers register value to be above the current maximum. When I do it for my cousins I ususally just set it to 100. Make sure you are editing the correct address though, editing the wrong one can really mess up your game.

Sorry to hear the game wasn't fun for you, If you dont like it now, you probably wont like it much more later.

I've had a blast over my 300+hrs and think theres tons to do...surviving, exploring, building, finding passengers, finding and crafting items etc. I dont think adding a story to find Timmy etc is going to change the gameplay much.

Some people have a hard time with sandbox games where you have the freedom to enjoy the game as you choose...its quite a change from being lead around by the nose every step of the way.

You can use a 'trainer' program, the only one I've seen people using is called ModAPI but there could be others too.

Honestly though taking shortcuts by using cheat programs is not going to make the game more fun for you...but thats just my opinion.

Yeah, I guess this game might not be the best fit for me. I don't know. I just don't like it, that went I wanna build a safe house for myself that it'd take forever to do because the number of material is crazy high for me to gather to build it. Maybe in the future they'll work on making some shelters take less material to build. I don't know. It's probably my fault. I try to take materials from a decent distance away from my base so hopefully the enemies would have a hard time finding my base if they used the cut down trees for a way of tracking me. And I get enjoyment out of most of the other things to do in the game but building a base is the least favorite on my to do list. But I need good protection in order to switch back to enemy mode.

try to play it with cheats off (veganmode crap etc), if you find it boring again it's probably not game for you

If base building isn't your thing, you could always try co-op and find a partner that does like to build bases.

I know I still have it on peaceful mode, but that's easier to build stuff in than the original mode. Cannibals don't give ♥♥♥♥ if the player is in the middle of something, they just attack. Its annoying how they always attack. But I can't get a refund for the Forest so I should suck it up and play it.

There's been 2 posts recommending ModAPI that you seem to have missed, it'll allow you to build a massive base in minutes, have god-mode, insta-kill enemies and probably more.
