How is it cool? I can't even use it in single player or co-op. I tried. And I can't use it.
Windows shows my mic is active, the bar on recording devices>sound>microphone moves when I speak but I dont hear myself ?
If it does work all I have to do is then press Q ingame ? at least what way I'll know its working.
Okay, I think it need to set up my microphone to windows. I think that might be why it's not working. Because pressing Q in the game doesn't work for me currently, all that does is bring out the walkie-talkie. So I probably need to link my microphone up, so it'ff work in the game. Thank you :)
Keep in mind you can use it in conjunction with many items in your other hand and/or carrying most things; however, there are limitations that may impede you from being able to do so, just to give you a heads up.
My group and I use a combination of TS(team-speak = outside game communication program) and the two-way (walkie-talkie in game) as sometimes either one can stutter through lag at some points, making it difficult to understand the transmissions during crucial encounters.
As for the whole people being upset that you join a coop game as a new player, there are two sides to it. I understand that some folks prefer the experience as to not 'destroy' relative progress already made, but there are many of us that will gladly accept your help rather than push you away.
There is no better way to learn or adapt to a game faster, than asking other experienced players questions. Granted this may not be the case for everyone, and that many will tell you to just 'figure it out yourself' before joining, etc. Some people learn different ways, and if asking questions is the style that you go about learning, just keep lookin around until you find someone who is friendly enough to help you (shouldnt take long). Most answers can still be found through search on the web and the wiki too.
It takes a bit of practice but you will figure it out quick. Hope this helps a bit. Good luck.
***Forgot to mention : when you press Q to activate the two-way, you do not have to hold it down, simply pushing the key once, to bring it up, then again after you complete your transmission.
Thanks for the help. I think it's weird I can't hear myself in game when I pull out the walkie-talkie. I have found a friendly player that I play co-op with but we use the enter chat in the game. But that can be hard when you are trying to run away cause you can't hit enter for the game chat unless you are at a complete stop. Thanks for the support :D I do learn better from direct answers sometimes, rather than always online googling and wikia. Thank you :D And good luck to you too! :)
