ive had them all out on day 4.
For you maybe because you're a builder chopping stuff down all the time. If you're playing more the survival/stealth style then it is about 2 weeks game time.
Yes they are easy to kill with fire arrows, but remember its my first play through, I am having a hard time finding enough feathers to replenish my arrow supplies since there isn't more than a few seconds breathing room between fights.
All I want to do is build some kind of shelter.... The mutant/cannibal spawns need some serious balancing work.
That or look for an area seagulls land/congregate. You can get a ton just runnng around a seagull landing strip with a spear.
Make a small base elsewhere to chill at if your main base is seeing too much activity.
I have a house boat with a bed in it off the coast for when it gets too rough I just hide out there, I also have a raft so could head off for a while start a secondary base elsewhere.
Thanks for the tip.
Most of the small ponds with fish in them have a spear nearby. Sometimes they are easy to miss. They will look like a thin stick stuck in the ground/in the pond. You can upgrade it with 3 bones and 2 cloth. You can carry one regular and one upgraded. You can also throw them, but I would advise against it.
Found a few ponds and a couple of spears, some of them are well hidden is all I have to say while others are glaringly obvious. Anyhew thanks for letting me know how to upgrade it was playing around trying to figure that out (I know there are wikis and stuff with the lists of craftables, but I like toying with it to see if I can figure it out for myself).
I got the 2 cloth but was having trouble with the rest, mostly as I didnt have have bones on me.
