Vegan Mode

So I finished the game, and I tried vegan mode, which I think is the cannibals only spawn in caves? But at night time I saw a bloody cannibal running around. It was at a distance but that still annoyed me. Do they still come outside even though they're spawning in caves?

cannibals in caves are hand-placed by the devs and don't stray from that location, also cannibals cannot enter or exit a cave

yeah I didn't think they could go through transitions. So how did that bastard get out? The cheat wasn't working?

I think I know, I didn't type it in during the menu, I think I typed it into the console in the game

Best guess is that either your theory is correct, or you set it to vegetarianmode instead. Vegan is supposed to block enemy spawning (but wont kill any existing enemies already spawned). Vegetarian allows enemies to spawn in caves and at night.

Personally I'd lean towards your theory about not entering it at the menu being the likely culprit though. You can change the gamemode from within the server, but I find it to be far buggier when done that way. If trying to enable vegan from the main menu, then your main menu should change to look like this when it works:

if it's red instead, that's vegetarian mode...and if you want to turn it back to default at any point that would just be the "meatmode" command (also at the title screen).

Yeah when I went out to the menu and entered the veganmode command again it changed the font to that, so I reckon that was what I wasn't doing, I was inputting it in the game instead
