How To Build 2 Floor Fortress?
I've seen some people built exceptional fortress that contains 2 or more floors (like this: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=285193264 )

I wonder how they built the ladders? How did they created 2 stories building? What are they stacking? A pile of walls? Anyone can help?

That was probably built using a creative mode mod right?

So it is not possible to build that on actual gameplay (no creative mode) ?
Actually, the watchtower idea seems so clever, i want to build that if it's possible..

I tried building a three floor house, and found that I could not place basic walls horizontally past the second floor, but I could place them vertically as far as I could reach. I think that watch tower was made by stacking platforms and stairs.

its probably a mod where someone took the tree climbing animation and put in a custom ladder object. and simply scripted them together in some way. but officially I don't think this is possible yet.

EDIT: ok should have watched the video first... there was no ladder he just made a stair case the third floor isn't a floor just 2 platforms stacked on each other which make about 3 stories high in a way. and as long as you can see the top of the wall I see no reason you cant stack any higher.

I'm not really sure.....I mean, I try to do it after each patch but custom building doesnt seem to allow it. In the video there is a moment where the person recording it in the air seems to be 'floating' in the air to provide a better view of the build.

The top stairs would have needed their plueprints placing before any logs were placed in anything below other wise they would no longer have 'snapped' together....I think. I'm honestly not sure if it's possible without some kind of no clip to fly up there.

I believe platforms can be infinitely stacked which would be a stair case then a platform then put a staircase on that platform so on so forth... making it higher than 2 floors

like some have already said, I have a problem with horizontal placement passed the 2nd floor. It also look like stacks and stacks of platforms and stairs. The fort is definitely one of the best I've seen so far though.

Tldr; I use Templar's mod to delete blueprints. Then what I do is place down a wall blueprint on ground level. Place another one next to the previous blueprint to get the wall to turn into a ceiling, but DON'T place it. Then delete the first wall with the 'C' button, while holding the ceiling still, and then you can move around and freely place your ceiling anywhere in the world. The only problem with this is positioning. If you want to place the ceiling under you then you will have to be above the ceiling when you delete the attached wall. Or if you want to have the ceiling at eye-level you will need to stand on a platform when deleting the wall.
