I can not change the quickslot for the axe you get from the plane. Is that normal?

Depending on what the issue is, possibly. If something is already bound to a quickslot (and most of what you grab in the plane is bound to a slot by default), you usually have to juggle items a bit to bind it to a different slot. It does not like combining an item that is already on the quickslots. You basically need any other bindable item to fill the slot the axe is currently in so the axe is now unbound, which will let you bind that axe to a different key instead. It's a stupid kind of juggling sometimes, but if that is the issue then yes, it's normal.

Btw different question I just tried burning a body with a torch but it did not work?

worth noting that for the purpose of item juggling right out of the plane; sticks, the upgraded stick (stick + cloth = portable warmth as well), and rocks can all be used as bindable items and are usually immediately available right off the plane.

I have never had luck with getting the torch to burn bodies, though some people i play with swear by it. Normally i just watch them beat the poor corpses leg off as their torch expires instead. Early on i just build a small fire, its like 2 sticks and a few leaves. Once i have more stuff available, molotovs, hairspray, fire arrows, or (slightly spoilery as its a weapon most new players dont know about) flares from the flare gun specifically, not general flares can all effectively burn a body while on the go (though you may want to save stuff like molotovs for larger piles of corpses so its actually worth the cost investment of materials).

I saw it in a video with 1 hit the corpse was burning I guess they changed that :D

I think it does work, or at least used to. I know I have seen it before. It's just not the method i usually used and i could never get it to work when i tried. I honestly cant say if it's just finicky or no longer works anymore. There's a few methods that technically do work, sometimes, but not always. Including them accidentally burning themselves on a fire occasionally (they panic when set on fire so its hilarious to watch one run into the fire, panic because hes on fire, die to said fire, and drop on it to begin burning because his panic kept him standing basically right on top of it). There's even an enemy who chucks fire that you can get to burn his buddies for you if you wanted to. But, I normally end up playing peer to peer games as a sort of tour guide/body guard so i usually have piles to burn at any one time, not just a single corpse or two anyway. Hairspray is often my go-to as a result unless im just plain camping out with a fire for bone armor farming purposes.

Yeah I just build a little fire and that works fine xd no big deal to get a few sticks and leaves

though speaking of fires, sticks, bones etc....i actually like being a bit wasteful with sticks because in the early game my ratio of leaf to stick needs is a bit off (mainly i tend to live nomadic so no actual base, but i do use temp shelters a lot and thats 14 sticks and like 26 leaves...plus initial armor stocking like stealth which is also an abundance of leaves, like 15 i think, not sure i just spam them til it lets me craft). Means i want as many leaves as i can get early on (and yes there are ways to make this even easier, especially once you have at least 30 but im not currently discussing how to exploit the game, just play it lol). That said, the more times you hit a bush before it breaks the more leaves you get, and the bone deals the minimal amount of damage possible, so the bone is actually a wonderful bush beater if you need extra leaves as well.
