If you just want it over with and arent afraid to use console to do so....there's a list of the trigger points in teleport command format on the wiki already, as in, there's already an available list of exactly where to teleport to trigger each "explored cave" credit. https://theforest.fandom.com/wiki/Spelunker
As for getting the map. In single player, dying the first time takes you right to it which is what makes that the easiest way. That cave exists in game either way though, and can be found without dying (and must be found in multiplayer since you dont get drug there on death in MP). You are looking for the main village climb entrance to Hanging cave/cave 2 if you are referencing wikis or maps to find it. That entrance leads straight into the chamber with the map and compass.
i just tried this method but i didnt get the achievement :( can someone add me and walk me through it on a creative world as ive been trying for a few days to get this now lol
I got the achievement a while ago so I can't really go and double check, but I have referenced these spots to help others get the credit. Sometimes they have to walk around a bit to make it trigger but those spots do seem to still work. At least the ones I've recently helped people get. Though normally players aren't fond of console commands for achievements so what ends up happening is I go teleport there, take a picture for them to reference, and they go find it "normally" instead. Means I usually only get to test 3-4 spots at most, and usually only the ones they struggle with (wet cave is a reoccurringly problematic entry for many it seems)
