Can you make a door in the wall custom foundation?

I just finished making a Huge foundation and would like to put a door in it on the ground level can it be done and how?

OK, I just failed with the "R" when i pressed R by itself nothing happed so I assumed you meant when im in hole cutting mode. all R does is rotate. so I tried to place a hole in my wall on ground lvl and instead made a hole in the roof

if you want an open sided foundation keep it to 3 sides and dont make 4

Use the 'Custom Wall' and make one small section of wall....then put your door on it. Now build your 'Custom Foundation' around that.

Depending on how high it is you can still knock out an opening with an axe.....just go slowly. And make sure you have a save that you can go back to incase you accidentally knock the entire thing down.

I did try that and it did not work out so well. Made a ugly gash in the side of my new building. i went back to an old save after that fiasco. now I have a door on the side of a wall. keeps the door to door people guessing.

OK, i at the point now that I want to add doors and windows to my custom home. I have custom walls in there now. if I use the "R" key when its in ghost form i can make a window or a door. but when I started actually building it it placed the wood over the door and window area. what am I doing wrong?

I 'think' it's just a visual bug....i've had it a few times over the past few days. So long as you had your opening chosen before the last log goes on it'll still work.
