it's a mod ;D
it doesn't matter if you cheat or not ;D
For building it's very handy.
Aside of Creative Mode and console commands present in the regular game, the Ultimate Cheat Menu has a Fly and even Noclip Mode.
With that you can enhance your experience in Creative Mode by easily getting into position for building some awkward stuff.
The downside is, that it works also online for clients if they use it.
So aside of the regular Grief Mod which is mainly developed to destroy the expierence of others the Ultimate Cheat Menu can either be used for an unfair advantage.
I switch all mods off, as soon as I host or join a public game and I either ban people who come to my game using Ultimate Cheat Menu.
Simply as I provide enough goodies for everyone to start on these creative maps. Basically no one should cheat online, except the server clearly allows it (I don't join such servers).
If someone built bases with tons of resources there is either no reason to use it anyways.
