try raising your laptop up with something, a few cd cases or something so the fans underneath can breath properly. other than that, i salute you for being able to play at 15fps
well the lag in the forest is somehow bearable than most other games which tends to slowmo when it started to experience drop fps. Thankfully i get better fps when i plays alone.
then u gotto have stronger computer
i not sure if Sons Of The Forest going to also upgrade its graphic
Every sequels always had an improve in graphics, you're right i should get a better rig, probably will build a PC instead of Laptops, to avoid any temperature spikes.
>set the laptop display resolution to 1024*800
>set the game resolution to 800*600
>obviously set everything to the most lowest possible
>turn from dx11 to legacy
>install no shadow mod using modapi
haven't try it yet on multiplayer, but i'm satisfied with this result, right the temp went down to 78 celcius at day and 70 celcius at night, lifting the back of the laptop using woods so there's a little room for ventilation at the bottom of the laptop.
no shadow mod i uses: https://modapi.survivetheforest.net/mod/113/no-shadows
the mod is working as per day this comment was posted.
resolution and gone all shadow
It's very likely dried out now and so does the exact opposite of what it's supposed to do.
This should provide a bit more of fresh air and also reduce the risk of thermal throddling.
Also, there are colling pads for laptops that blow some additional air in your system...
They're pretty golden.
If this doesn't work, you should lower render intensive effects like AA, shadows or post processing effects, maybe lower the resolution as well.
and yes probably i should check if the thermal paste is dried out or not, it's been 8 months since the last time i replace it.
i already found of way to minimize the lags and lowering the temp, i mentioned it on my replies.
