The Forest Lagging With Good Specs
Ive been having this problem ever since v0.01 came out,the only thing that seemed to reduce my lag a little is the sky lighting. But my game still runs like ♥♥♥♥,i only get 10-20 FPS. I know its an alpha, But people with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ specs can run the game PERFECTLY. I really want to continue my game with the performance im supposed to get. Any help would be appreciated!

Here are my Specs if it helps.

Processor:Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz
Windows 8
RAM:12.0GB
System:64-bit Operating System
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M

It's probably a problem with your hardware. There's been a lot of optimization issues with certain graphics cards. I would send your specs to their support email and tell them the issues you've been having. Hopefully they will fix most of this stuff later on.

Their email is support@endnightgame.com

Does the game run on integrated or dedicated graphics card?

It's your GPU. The GT 750M is not a very powerful GPU. This game is not refined yet and will be more demanding on components until it is to the stages of optimizing. I would not really suggest using a laptop for a gaming PC.

I would just turn the graphic setting s down, and possibly the resolution if needed.

Well,my game runs the same even with the lowest settings, and i can run games like crysis 3 at 40 FPS on Highest settings,so why am i getting this ♥♥♥♥ performance?

The game isn't optimised yet, let alone for a laptop GPU, I'm sure it will be though. Crysis 3 is a finished game and has been through initial development, alpha, beta and release.

Hmmm, true. But i hope until the game is optimized. I can at least increase my fps a little. Im now playing in 1366 x 768 resolutionwith highest settings, game runs 60fps. Waiting for a fix :(

I hope so too mate! I had awesome performance prior to the latest patch, but now performance for me has definitely suffered. Luckily the developers seem to be doing optimisations and content with The Forest at the same time so hopefully we won't have to wait too long; developing an alpha is often a case of 'refinement' as opposed to progression.
