Too much brightness??

Its just me or this is happening to more people? Since the last patch is everythig like shining, its annoying.

Also game its slower, I played in high and worked perfect, now I have laggy moments... And the blood that appears when you demembrate a dead guy seems like red smoke...

No, it's not you Yorch, there's several posts, including one by myself, complaining about the lighting. Not so bad during the day, but at nightime, a single fire stand will blind you.

It is a bit bright but it's a whole lot better than the total darkness we used to have.

The lighting during the day is awful imo. The sky is too bright. I cant see anything except white and it breaks the immersion. I'm hoping the dev's fix that soon.

That doesn't work, nor does disabling V-Sync, Motion Blur or any of the other "fixes" that have nothing to do with the Bloom / HDR of the game. We'll have to wait another 18-1/2 days for the update unless the Devs do something in the interim. It sucks.

You're not the only one. Maybe you've heard the reports of people having burned out retinas or permanently closed pupils. The intro scene looks a bit strange now, when you're going down theres all this red smoke blowing through the plane and the clouds are blinding orange. I agree that some parts of the game (like evening or morning) look nice but its just those few parts where it just becomes too much.

I have the burnt out retinas! I accidently lit 2 fire stands and a fire pit last night.

I got the same problem. Everything is washed out. Clouds in the intro looks like orange burning smoke. Sky is *very* shiny. Mutants are almost completely white and no longer shiny (wet looking) like before. Objects and textures look washed out. I tried turning off some of the options and even put brightness all the way down with no visible effect.
Another interesting thing is that it goes from day to night in a matter of seconds; perhaps 2. From very bright to almost pitch black.

I believe graphic cards need to have some kind of standard system. So many of us have different views. I have a gaming laptop with integrated graphics and although the game is bright during the day it's not blinding on my monitor. As I was walking back to my house (in real life) from the barn the Sun was in my eyes and I immediately thought of The Forest. It was so bright I couldn't see my house. :)

Yeah, blinding sky is ok I guess, but since last patch its more of a bleached out look. You see it most clearly on the mtuants, which instead of the scary oiled up look, now look like dead skin. Flat and greyish.

i have brightness at 0 (Zero) and Bloom off but the Game is often to bright for my taste
