Increase FPS 2018?

Is there a renewed, better guide to increase your FPS?

READ THIS BEFORE YOU GIVE ME A BAD ANSWER

• LOWSPECGAMER's guide.
  
• Tweaking in AMD's control panel.
  
• Put The Forest on high priority in the taskmanager.
  
• All settings on very low/low
  
• Using Razer Cortex
  
• Lowest resolution
  
• All at the same time

Is there something else I can do?

SPECS
Processor - Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16GHz
RAM - 5GB DDR2
Motherboard - ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5QL-VM EPU (LGA775)
Graphics Card - ATI/AMD Radeon HD 6950

Anything else needed? Comment!
I know for a fact that my PC should be good enough to play this game at, at least MEDIUM.

Your nearest comparison to a current card is basically the same as a Nvidia GT1030 which struggles to get 30 fps on Medium, 40 on Low. So, if u have less than that, its the best u are going to get. Most minor changes u can adjust, dont have a major increase in fps. I think the biggest one was changing from SSAO to HBAO gave 5-10 fps more, but that was on my GTX970 so i would think the gain even smaller for ur card.

You dont mention what fps u do get?

dude your pc is a fossil nuff said......nothing will get you better fps.......eather upgrade or deal with what you have

Probably counting his VRAM as RAM to say they have 5, or mismatching sticks of different capacities

If you reuse your current hard drive, case and powersupply, if you can, you could even knock the price down $100 more and have something, while not bleeding edge, much better than what you have now

i got very good pc specs such has 1060 6gb but the game is constantly running on 8fps idk why

i have a similar PC, but its a pentium. at least u have a GPU.

no, there is nothing at all u can do in this game to get it to run on a toaster.
not even at 1024x512 resolution. its just not optimized for toaster CPUs AT ALL

Verifying the game files, has upon occasions been known to magically fix fps issues on good machines. Try that first...
