I dont wanna 'beat' the game I want endless survival. Curious how you did so.
Don't know if they'll change that with version 1.0 though, so no guarantees! Lol 😁
they are cannibal-free once you kill them :D
also as guy said earlier ^
Don't attact them :V
I live on the beach where you find yacht.
Cannibals never attacked me and this save is over 100 days ;d
+ free infinite food (turtles spawn there very often)
Ive explored no caves at all. I figured in caves to many of them in there. Ive bin attacked on the beach there. When to many I head for the yacht. However, theres limited build space?
Then you are really lucky with your beach base by the yacht. I also had a base down there in another playthrough and got constantly attacks. So, is that a thing they changed with the patrol routes? If so, i have to build there again! I absolutly love that spot! For the free food delivery alone! Lol 😁
Some of them have less cannibals than single patrol route on surface.
I don't get the part about limtied build space o-o Why limited?
"Don't attract them" is the most important part.
Also the patrol routes aren't the same between saves, it seems as random as plane landing locations. (On other save cannibals were coming to this big tree which is close to my base very often, while on main save they were there very rarely)
Depends on your layout plans. Any beach must mean limited space to build land structures effectively & to protect them. Unless you build partialy into the Forest. But if what u do works for u, fine.
The point about patrols is interestin.
That area i talked about earlier south of the main camp with the dinghy on it is almost perfect if you don't want to build on an island. You can build platforms on and around it and the needed logs you get from the forest above. Just throw them down the cliffside or build a crane if you want to. 😊
If you're following the correct river, then along the way is a small cannibal camp with two tents (visible from cockpit island) on your right and a missionary camp with multiple tents and a cave to your left further down river. Beyond that should be clear hills with some bushes on the left and I think a small cliff on the right.
Towards the end of this river are very high cliffs. This area, especially the cliff on the left, has flat ledge served me as a base that gets virtually no visits from the cannibals. I've beaten the entire game a couple times from this location and have never had a true visit from the cannibals every time.
Across the river from this spot are high hills with plenty of trees, deer, berry bushes, and ponds with fish and again, virtually no cannibals until later in the game. The beach the borders this while region also gets cannibal patrols, but they're very few and tend not to visit my cliff fort. The river area itself preceding the cliffs also can have light cannibal patrols, but the area of forest level with the is also rich in trees and devoid of enemies as far as I can tell.
I recommend stone walls 3 levels high over wooden ones though. A pain to put together, but stones are everywhere.
Cannibals do increase their presence throughout the penninsula the more you fight them or explore caves, but there are some areas that they really do seem uninterested in. At least for now. Dunno if future patches will change that.
