If you want a complete list of what can be crafted, I suggest you check on the wiki website, or I think there is a video from Farket about it on YouTube (title should be something like "ALL crafted items").
no no no .. thats not fun, thats boring AF.
There is a difference betwen the making a game the more realistic possible, and not making boring. A game is a game, there are things you wont be able to make in a reaslistic way.
To me, thats the main issues of this game, which has HUGE potential, but making some crafting and cooking "random" is just not possible. A game that need wikia to craft stuff is not a "good" game. And god how many time did i go on wiki to see how to do this or this ?
In real life, you would put a feather, with a stick, with some sap on the top of it to stick the feather ?But the game is not doing the same way. Therefore, the game should (thats what it is doing for arrow, so yes) tell you how to make an arrow !
But it should do the same for everything. Or at least, when u discover the recipe ofanything, especially cooking, it should unlock the recipe in the book, in the section "cooking", like if the survivor just write i down.
The way to game want you to craft something is to me, the way the survivor you play want to craft it.
You are supposed to "be" this guy, and when he wants to craft a bone armor, he should tell you "hey dude lets craft this by combining this and this that should be fine"
A mushroom + a rabbit and blueberry make a good stew, you eat it and .. boom *new recipe unlocked, blueberryrabbit stew - see in cooking page of your survival*
The manual should be able to show everything, craft, basic cooking, litteraly everything. Not saying it should be in the book at start, but it should be there, by unlocking or not.
When a game holds your hand - now THAT is boring - you don't have to think for yourself 99% of the time as the game does it for you. This isn't such a game. Here, you do what you want. 2 rabbits and 3 mushrooms in a stew is as valid as 3 rabbits and 2 mushrooms in a stew. Just like in reality.
You have some tips in the book on how to build and craft basic stuff early on, the rest is up to you. Figure it out. Imagination and creativity are wonderful things. That, and the character we play as is a reality show survivalist who knows how to improvise.
And frankly I started playing while the wiki was full of ♥♥♥♥♥, never really needed it.
Plus, "random" crafting should not be a thing. I get there could be different ways to craft this or that but the game needs one recipie for each item, period. If you'd craft an item differently than the game there's a suggestion thread just for that.
