uh, actually you totally can save it; the game makes a backup copy of every file you have, but it can only work if you only saved one time

you (make copy of everything first) look for files with similar filename but with a _prev suffix, you are going to want to delete the version that doesn't have the _prev suffix then rename the ones with the _prev suffix to not have the _prev suffix.
like, delete "resume" and rename "resume_prev" to "resume", etc. leave the ones that don't have a similar version there alone, some files don't need a backup, like the thumbnail file
