50% CPU 50% GPU usage?

Hello! Anyone got a simular issue where it doesnt fully use the graphics card? im at around 70 fps at 1080p ultra

You dont need to have 100% CPU usage to be in a CPU-limit.

And faster RAM helps getting you more FPS while being in such a limit.

And back with my 4790k i already used 2400Mhz. :> Dont underestimate the power of RAM.

Indicator of cpu limit is NOT the CPU Usage. It is when your GPU Usages is below 90%. Sadly I can only give you German sides to understand how a cpu limit works.

I do have a similar problem. At 1080p max settings I'm getting about 80% GPU usage and at 1440 It's about 90%. It's really annoying because 1440p drops slightly below my refresh rate and then I get screen tearing.

Welcome to the world of 360Hz monitors.

I have a 72hz monitor and anything but 72+ FPS feels sluggish. And fast sync can't get rid of tearing unless I'm getting more FPS then my refresh rate. Annoyingly this game runs at 90% GPU usage at 1440p, and it drops to about 70 FPS all the time. Which means I have no good options for anti-aliasing on my 1080p monitor. Since FXAA is pointless, and TAA is too blurry for this game. Also, they removed SMAA.

I got a R9 3900x with RTX 3080 and at 1440p max graphics, my gpu also drops to 50%. But it mostely does that around the area i have build a lot. When i run away from all my buildings into the Forest. The gpu usage goes up again close to 100%. Seems like it sometimes depends on where i am on the map. The game is a bit old so hoping that the engine of Sons of The Forest will run better on newer systems. Which i think it will

Sons of The Forest is looking so damn good. New bigger map. New enemis. New weapons. Better graphics. Better AI. Everything will be better :D

I get easily 99% GPU Usage with my RTX 3080 @ 3440x1440 when I turn VSync off. Even on 2560x1440 I get 99% GPU Usage when I turn VSync off. Very curios.

I bet cpu limit OR software bug. CPU Limit can be a part of software bug etc, too.
