Wet cave bugged?

For some reason, I cannot complete the task 'Explore the wet cave'. I have checked each corner several times of the entire cave area and its connections. Its the last cave I need for the achievement... Any suggestion?

the water fragment (down from your location) seems to be a bit foggy,
did you use rebreather to swim down there yet?

also on the left, in this big cave with rock in the middle there is a bit foggy area a little bit under the big rock, could you try to explore this part too? (some people say this big thingie is part of wet cave... some say it's not... idk that's why I just suggest it)

I come from checking the sites you say without success. The foggy area below, I just can't get there, the closest I can get to there is inside the cave right at the entrance. And same for the one with the fragment of water.

Anyway, my friend's map looks exactly the same as mine and he has unlocked it. Now that I think about it, I've been using modapi's map mod, has it had something to do with it?

The game uses map for this achievement
If mod screwed up achievement part of code then it might be the cause
But if mod was done correctly then there should be no problem

other idea.. did you finish game in this save?
the alternative ending (the one that allows to continue game) breaks certain achievements and game features, maybe it breaks caves?

I have just started game and got "explore wet cave" without problem

But... since you went swimming... did you use the water entrance? (exited cave and entered cave again throught this underwater hole?)

We found Timmy in the lab and the game allowed us to continue playing, we didn't see any cinematics or anything. After that we load a previous save and keep doing things for achievements.

which means you used alternative ending, the one that breaks achievements and stuff

"previous save" means save before going to underground lab? (basically you don't have golden keycard and can't open doors on yacht)
if yes, then this shouldn't cause any problem, at least I think so

welp, you can see my map, it was enough to complete "explore wet cave" objective
the *to do list updated* showed up when I reached the explodable wall (near the location you see on my map), I didn't blow it up tho


soo I can only guess that mod caused some problem
multiplayer itself is bugged too, it may cause random problems that aren't a thing on singleplayer

The wet cave has two different under water areas you need the breather to go into. The first is above the climbing wall and the second harder to find is after you climb or jump down that wall. I had to enter the second lower one to get the "cave explored" off the to do list. Good luck.

We went to explore this cave through the water and upon entering the achievement was unlocked and the task was crossed out :D
