Nudity in game

I understand if someone is ok with it nudity. Fine if you like it no problem however I am not ok with it and I am very disappointed that there was not a warning or tag before buying the game that it has nudity and that there is no option to censor it. I am further disappointed that because of the way the game is it may take some time playing before it becomes an issue. I have 10 hours in and it has taken about this long for me to notice. I fought some people near the beach that didn't appear to be nude in single player and then tried a few multiplayer servers. It was about 10 hours in that I noticed a woman without clothing on her breasts. Because I am past 2 hours I can not even get a refund. This sucks cause I really like the game but this is a deal breaker for me.

That will at least give me some of the game back. It takes some of the most fun of the game away in there being no real enemy but thank you for this suggestion.

doesn't look like there's a workshop unfortionately. Might be able to google mods for the Forest to see if there's one that gives them some shirts? or maybe even someone who would just know how to make one.

Mods for The Forest are handled through modAPI hub. It is possible for someone to make that mod but there are so few mods actually even out it doesn't seem like it is high on anyone's list of things to do if it ever gets done. To be clear I am not forcing my views on anyone or even telling the developer they can not have nudity. I just think that if they do it should be clearly stated so I can make an informed choice or at least the ability to turn it off.

I respect you do not like it, But this is natural. There are still tribes today that woman are topless. As far as a refund, The game does warn of nudity. You may be able to contact Steam and let them know of your concerns. (Long shot) They "may" refund ya, tho I doubt it.

Honestly tho. Play the game.. I never even notice the nudity because it just seems natural. It will only bother you if you let it.

It does NOT disclose it in the game details. If you see a nudity tag that is because I added it.

You must not use youtube or twitch at all. The Forest is heavily used for let's plays and a few streamers try to stream it and the nudity is very well known because it falls under twitch's rules and could get streamers banned. It's not about moral standard but about awareness. In the description it says "stay alive against a society of cannibalistic mutants"do you think mutants have a k-mart nearby to go and thrift some pants? In the trailer it has a mutant jump a guy very clearly she's naked next scene there are butt naked corpses hanging from the ceiling with their D's out. Later in the trailer they show multiple attacks from mutants. Either you're playing this on a 360p resolution, or you didn't bother watching the trailer or Karen is angry and wants The Forest to pay.

Listen I dont care what your standard or what twitch does. I do not want nudity in my home. Oh and fyi there are lots of tribes all around the world that have covered their private areas. Heck lets talk about games. In rust and conan you can censor nudity and it isnt game breaking and it isnt even a client side thing so I could play with people that had nudity without it being forced on me. So this reduces your argument simply to you not liking my view because you want to see nudity. Like I said if it is your thing fine I am not controlling you. However I ask you to also respect my choice to not have it in my home and not be ok with it. A filter would allow both of us to have what we want and is not unreasonable.

and asks you for age too (even if you disable age check in steam settings... it still asks... and it asks repeatively if you revisit after some time ;-;)

So you may have some difficulty getting your money back. While you are correct, there is no tag stating the game has nudity, there are two screenshots on the store page with nudity but they are not crystal clear. The first shot shows the female cannibal jumping over an object. In the shot she is topless. The second shot shows the back of the female cannibal with no top on. Obviously this shot does not show her breast, but it can be implied that you can see them if she turns around.

I've never attempted a steam refund so I don't how difficult it may or may not be.

Also, not to knock you, but why complain here. I understand why you may not want it, maybe you have little children in your home and you don't want them to see that but you can easily review the forums and see little to no people had an issue with the nudity. The developers are working on the new game so its not going to get changed. Hell, certain bugs aren't even going to get fixed. So I don't understand why even bring it up. Even more for a game that you are planning on returning. Why waste your time.

No there is not nudity on the store page. After playing I understand now that the one enemy is nude but it was not clear before playing that is what I was looking at. Also the warning of content was not specific and it says that for every game with violence. It does not say NSFW either. Also I would like to specify that nudity is not just not ok for kids it is not ok for me and I am a grown man. I do not want it in my life.

Well isn't this a forum to discuss game content and what we are happy with, unhappy with, post ideas, suggestions and tips? Yes it is so this is an appropriate venue for me to vent to the developer as well as warn others that have the same views I have of the issues I have with the game.
