How to infinitely fly with the GLIDER ?

Hi, I managed to do it 3x already, so when I jump of the huge tower I eventually gain height and the glider constantly stays on the same level later on without losing any altitude. This allows you to fly across the whole map as long as you like.

My problem is that I couldn't exactly determin how it actually works, does it depend on the wind, the movement of the glider or jump-off angle? Cause I remember it gaining altitude with a certain lateral movement pattern, which I then couldn't reproduce anymore

Has anyone figured this out yet?
