Cave 2/4 water hole

I basically cheated and unlocked creative mode so I could have a nice little explore and noticed that there's a deep hole filled with water in the cave you get carried to when you die that seems to be completely pointless. Am I actually missing something?

If its where i think you mean, its basically more Lore and Story pieces. Also, the place you wake up in, dumps you next to the Compass and Map, almost beside you. But did you notice this easter egg in the sky?

Just kidding, i made that ages ago lol. There is no easter eggs or hidden areas that ive found anyway, but there the vault door is under the map for some reason. The whole point is that it scares the bejebus out of you, as you try find out what might be down there.

I was doing a legitimate playthrough and went into the same waterhole only with a small mod that greatly reduced the blurriness from being underwater, and there really was nothing down there apart from some coins.
