How to Hunt Rabbits and Lizards effectively?
I know that i have to use the slingshot but these fu***** are to fast and agile not even stealth does help and they are not easy to spot in the grass so how do you handle it?

Btw how can i craft seeds or do i need to find them?

I normally use a rabit trap to catch them. It is tricky but you can get them without destorying the trap.

The trap can be used to catch rabbits, lizards, racoons, and even baby cannibals (and it is how you capture rabbits alive for the rabbit pen). If placed in water it also becomes a fish trap. The downside is that you have to be within render distance of it for it to work effectively so there's a balancing act between being close enough for it to work and far enough to not spook the critter.

For more direct hunting, slingshot and bow are good for ranged hunting but you usually do have to spot them from afar and aim it well. The spear can also be thrown but it has a long enough range you can usually stab them instead (though spear is a preferred method of deer hunting for most since it one shots them when thrown). Lizards aren't quite as fast as rabbits and they tend to stop running after a few feet so if you can keep track of them they can be easy to chase down. Luckily both rabbits and lizards spawn in a few areas with very little foliage which makes them significantly easier to locate and keep track of. I tend to hunt using the katana due to it's long range but that takes some getting used to and basically boils down to sneaking as close as possible before they notice you then charging them like a madman until you get in range to smack them.

spears are decent when chasing rabbits

Animals will spawn around you when you enter an area. I tend to find a spot where I see rabbits spawn. Stand on a rock and wait. When they spawn they sit still untill you move.then I nail them with a slingshot.

a spear also works. It's kind ahard to hit with a slingshot

I find the bow to be best

it's kinda hard to aim since you don't even have a crosshair to rely on

Slingshots and the bow are pretty good but if that's not your style, you can use rabbit traps.

Lizards aren't that hard to catch. They move slower and are bigger targets than rabbits. You have to sneak up on them to get them as unlike rabbits, they don't run immediately. I always find lizards easier than rabbits.

For seeds, you have to eat (or collect) blueberries, aloe vera, and coneflowers. I believe collecting them works but I might be wrong on that part.

yeah, you can collect them in a pouch (which requires 2 or 3 rabbit furs)

Huh? Don't you get seeds from collecting plants? Haven't played in a while, but they used to sit on the very bottom of the crafting mat, not in the pouch

you can collect the fruits themselves in the pouch to eat them later on. Idk about seeds tho

the seeds are a separate item in the inventory and you don't need the pouch to collect seeds but berries collected with the pouch do have a chance of giving you seeds. You don't just have to eat them to get seeds from them

Personally I just used a primitive bow for every hunting task except for deer and boar. After that the main trick is just to pay close attention and not move too much. The best spot for this kind of rabbit hunting in my experience is up near the washed up cargo boxes on the west side.
