Do cannibals respawns in caves?

I've watched videos where people build in caves and set lights down and specifically said cannibals and mutants do not respawn, however on my save singleplayer and multi they do
Should that be happening?
I just assumed they were supposed to respawn

Same here, they do respawn whenever you enter the caves again. I dunno why they shouldn't respawn, cause the caves are kinda their natural habitats territoires. Those people from video might shed light on you questionm try asking them

No canniballs do not respawn in caves. There is one gamemode that makes this happen. It think it was called vegetarianmode or something like that. https://theforest.gamepedia.com/Game_Modes

Weird. I built most of my bases in caves in a hard survival run and no one respawned. I basically own the caves now.

I thought there was one guy who would reliably respawn, but he wasn't there the last time I went to go get bones from him.

I have actually had cannibals respawn in my normal mode dedicated server. I have specifically fought the same guys twice in the chainsaw cave for example.

Might be older videos, caves used to not respawn. Also I'm pretty sure they don't respawn unless you go a certain distance away and stay there for a bit.

They will respawn but not as many as the first time you wen't through, I ussually only see 1 enemy now and then every so much distance where as before it had groups of them all over

The chainsaw cave and rebreather cave have been known to bug in enemies after they have been killed.

They dont respawn and they should. Ive been askin since i got the game.

I've noticed that the skinny cannibals respawn in the caves. The ones that laugh and crawl around on their hands and feet. Mutants do not respawn, thank God lol.

Welp for me it is the opposite. Creepies are super fast and jumpscare the ♥♥♥♥ out of me. However mutants are most of the times slow and predictable.

Welp for me it is the opposite. Creepies are super fast and jumpscare the ♥♥♥♥ out of me. However mutants are most of the times slow and predictable.

Most of them are easy, but the fat potatoe man is a B to deal with 😭😭 I can never predict his jumps and hes so fast

If you have max athleticism then you can actually run forward and at an angle to him and dodge his charges sometimes
